Robert F. Wilson Robert F. Wilson counsels business organizations and their owners on formation, structuring and other general legal issues. He advises clients regarding matters of commercial law including borrowing and lending, business acquisitions, mergers and reorganizations, financing, and international business transactions. Bob also counsels clients on business taxation matters. He is special counsel with the firm.

Bob's clients have regional, national and international interests and operations. He represents various companies and businesses, including entities involved in natural resources, real estate, IT and financial services.

  • Helps clients obtain or make small business and multi-million dollar loans
  • Forms and organizes start-up businesses and ventures

  • Sells, acquires and merges regional businesses

  • Helped structure a 30-megawatt wind farm venture in Southern California
  • Assisted an integrated physician provider association in Colorado
  • Advised a client with respect to unwinding a complex group of interrelated real estate development entities; the result was the client's acquisition of a building site on which a prime office building was constructed; organized and structured the project development entities
  • Advised the seller of a well-known brew-pub
  • Advised on licensing and regulatory matters and national and international contracts for international financial services companies with operations in both the United States and foreign countries
  • Handled national contract work for a Fortune 200 company
  • Advised a seller of a national energy, data and information company that was purchased by a large public company
  • Assisted the Sellers in connection with the sale of their proprietary technology oil and gas industry service companies to a strategic private equity group company

Prior to returning to Denver to practice law in 1972, Bob was in the tax department of Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young) in San Diego, California. Following his return to Denver, Bob was associated with and became a partner in what was then the fifth largest Denver law firm. Bob has been with the firm since 1981.

Bob was selected a Colorado SuperLawyer in the field of business and corporate law in 2006,2007, 2008 and 2009. He was also included in the 2009 Corporate Counsel Edition of SuperLawyer under International Law. AVVO rating of 10.0/10.0
