The firm's fidelity and surety practice group is experienced representing the interests of Bail Insurance Companies. We are committed to industry professionalism. The firm focuses on industry relationships with regulators, the court system, bail bonding agents, managing general agents and the Colorado community as a whole. Pendleton assists Bail Insurance Companies with regulatory compliance, indemnity issues and agency agreement dispute resolution.
L. Jay Labe is chair of the firm's fidelity and surety practice section which specializes in contruction, court and miscellaneous commercial bonds. He was the founder of the Colorado Bail Bond Roundtable Committee of the Office of the State Court Administrator, which was a cooperative effort by the Colorado Judicial Department, the Colorado Division of Insurance, Colorado Bail Insurance Companies and Colorado Bail Bonding Agents which successfully (1) Reformed and modernized Colorado bail bond statutes (2) Brought uniformity and simplicity to statewide bail bond forms, and (3) Established a statewide "Board System" for bail bond forfeiture administration and enforcement. Mr. Labe Currently chairs the Colorado Bail Insurance Company Roundtable ("CRT"). The mission of the CRT's insurance company members is to encourage effective, uniform commerical bail industry standard practices and enhance cooperation, communication and understanding between the bail industry, its regulators, the judicial system and public they serve.

Mr. Labe is an active opponent of "Deposit Bail" Pre-Trial Release Programs and the public safety risk they represent.
